Moving off-campus is a rite of passage for your students - another step on their road to independence. At The Connection our goal is to make that transition as easy as possible for you and your student.
The Connection offers professional on-site management and 24-hour emergency maintenance.
Our local Executive Director is supported by a skilled and experienced team focused on resident services, maintenance, and residential life. Residents who need assistance can submit maintenance work orders, pay rent installments, and contact our staff via our convenient Resident Portal, or meet with a team member in the office.
We offer individual leases by the bedroom, not the unit. The primary benefit for you is you're never responsible for paying a roommate's rent installments, even if they graduate, transfer, or move out.
As part of the lease agreement, The Connection requires each student to have a Guarantor. To qualify, a Guarantor must be at least 25 years old, a U.S. resident, and make at least three times the rent installment.
Moving out on your own is expensive, and usually includes a long list of expenses and responsibilities beyond your rent installment. To ease this financial burden The Connection offers the following utilities and incredible student-friendly amenities at no additional cost:
Residents are responsible for their own electricity bill. Visit the Georgia Power website for more information and to set up an account.
The Connection at Athens offers secured windows, fob activated, manually operated apartment doors with privacy locks, bedroom door locks, after-hours security patrol, and on-call emergency maintenance.
The Connection is a social community with a vibrant residential life program focused on social (networking and pool parties), physical (fitness classes), charitable (toy and food drives), and educational (study groups, community awareness seminars) events, and there's always free food! Residents are active participants in a variety of monthly events hosted by our team of dedicated community assistants and managers.
Every year, many students apply for the opportunity to become a Community Assistant (CA) at The Connection. CAs are residents who work where they live to offer assistance and support to all of our residents all year long as they transition to off-campus housing. The position provides students with valuable resume-building experience through their work as a community leader, problem solver, event planner, sales associate, and friend.
Students interested in a CA position can stop by the office to complete an application.
